Aasha Subedi
Aasha is a network member and a former PlanAdapt Fellow, based in Bonn, Germany.
With diverse academic and professional backgrounds, Aasha has ten years of global experience in sustainable development project design and management with the United Nations and non-governmental organizations. She has demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluating development projects related to climate change adaptation in the least developed countries, organizing global events on technical capacity building. She has coordinated and managed the multi-stakeholders projects. She has a thorough knowledge of the Rio Convention and is well-versed in the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and Land Degradation (UNCCD) negotiation process and decisions. She has led countries to develop the national drought plan in the framework of the UNCCD Drought Initiative and contributed to numerous publications related to land degradation neutrality contributing to SDG target 15.3. Her core competency lies in project management, research, analysis, and technical writing.
Aasha has an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and a dual Masters degree in Interdisciplinary Water Resource Management from Pokhara University Nepal and Agriculture Resource Management in Tropics and Sub-Tropics from Bonn University, Germany.
