Aswini Raveendran
Aswini is a research Intern with PlanAdapt’s coordination hub. She is based in Grenoble, France.
Her interests lie in exploring and envisioning a framework for the global adaptation stocktake mandated in the Paris Agreement.
Prior to working with PlanAdapt, Aswini has over 3 years of professional experience in the built environment sector. She worked on the ‘Walk2Ride Programme’ initiated by Singapore’s Transport Authority to implement sheltered walkways improving last mile connectivity. Her responsibilities included consistent project monitoring, intense coordination between the various design teams (electrical & structural), mediating diverging design requirements from approval institutions through discussions with consultant to arrive at optimal solutions. Her contributions accelerated the approval phase and resulted in timely progress.
Owing to her passionate interest in sustainable urban development, Aswini is pursuing her 2-year interdisciplinary master’s program at Technical University Darmstadt (International Cooperation in Urban Development) and is currently in Grenoble for her 2nd year specialising in Urban Planning. Her master’s thesis topic is in line with her research interest on the adaptation stocktake.
