Silke van der Merwe
Silke is a PlanAdapt Fellow, based in Windhoek, Namibia.
She is a business sustainability consultant with more than 12 years experience in the financial services sector, and clients across the private- and public sector as well as civil society in Namibia. She has a passion for the integration of sustainability into political and business strategies, including exploring climate change adaptation specifically for companies, but also advices on CSR, sustainability and ESG in general and coordinates and manages projects.
She has co-authored a “CSR for Entrepreneurs” Toolkit and recently completed a strategy for the Namibia Habitat Research and Development Centre.
Silke holds an MBA from Stellenbosch University (South Africa), an Honours Degree in International Relations (University of South Africa) and a B.A Degree in Political Science and Languages from Stellenbosch University, as well as various certificates relating to sustainability and strategy.
