Julia Reimers
Julia is a network member with PlanAdapt. She is based in Bonn and Hohenheim, Germany.
Julia combines technical expertise in agriculture and rural economic development with profound methodological skills in the conceptualization of new development projects, incl. the development of indicators and monitoring systems. Julia is currently working as an independent consultant for clients such as GIZ, AU, FAO and as a research associate at the chair for agricultural policy and food at the University of Hohenheim.
Prior to that she worked as an external in-house consultant for the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development during its G20 presidency and as a technical advisor and in-house consultant for the German technical cooperation, GIZ GmbH.
Julia holds an MSc. in Economics from the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg. She currently expands her expertise by doing a PhD on decision-making processes in agricultural policy as well as on multi-actor-partnerships for the implementation of sustainable agricultural supply chains at the University of Hohenheim. She also takes part in a joint doctoral certificate program in agricultural economics from several agricultural universities in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
